About Us
Here at Abbott Hockey Academy, we are proud to have a team of three instructors on our staff. Our hockey instructors in Hamilton, ON, serve at a school started by Spencer Abbott, a professional hockey player with more than ten years of experience playing in the NHL, AHL, NLA, SHL, and DEL. He is assisted by his partner, Taylor Abbott, in teaching students the hockey skills they need to become the best players they can. Head Instructor - Spencer Abbott
Our head instructor, Spencer Abbott, has played for ten professional teams (Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Marlies, Rockford Icehogs, San Diego Gulls, Frölunda Indians, Mora IK, Augsberg Panthers, Leksands IF, Kloten Flyers) and amassed 359 points in his career. He stands as the Toronto Marlies franchise record holder for most assists in a season (52) and longest point streak (13 games: October 6th, 2013 - November 16th, 2013), and was also a two-time AHL All Star Team member, SHL Champion & CHL Champion. Some of his other accomplishments include the following:

- 2011-2012 NCAA Hockey East Player of the Year
- 2011-2012 NCAA Scoring Champion (38 Games, 21 Goals, 41 Assists, 62 Points)

- 2015-2016 Champions Hockey League Most Goals (8)

Instructor - Taylor Abbott
- High Performance 1 Hockey Canada Certified
After being forced out of hockey at a young age due to an injury, Taylor pursued the path of coaching. He started coaching a boy’s rep summer tournament team and has since coached both boys and girls from all levels of minor rep hockey up to boys Jr. C. He is currently the Head Coach of the Stoney Creek Sabres U18AA and served as the 2015 Assistant Coach for the Glanbrook Rangers, as a Jr. C Conference Finalist. Taylor is a High Performance 1 Hockey Canada certified coach with more than 12 years of coaching experience. He has won various championships including the OWHL Southern Championship.
Instructor - David Vallorani
David Vallorani has played for a variety of professional hockey clubs around the world, including the Brampton Beast, Reading Royals (Hershey Bears) Utah Grizzlies, Rosenheim Starbulls (Germany), and Milano Rossoblu (Italy). He stands as the Brampton Beast franchise record holder for the most points in a season with 83, and has amassed 307 points in his pro career so far. David also scored 114 points during his college career while playing four seasons of NCAA Division One Hockey for UMass-Lowell in Hockey East. Some of his other accomplishments include the following:

- 2013-2014 Utah Grizzlies Scoring Leader (24 Goals, 35 Assists, 59 Points)
- 2014-2015 Top Goal Scorer in Serie A Italy (31 Goals in 34 Games)
- 2016-2017 All ECHL Second Team
- 2016-2017 Brampton Beast Scoring Leader (32 Goals, 51 Assists, 83 Points)
- 2016-2017 ECHL All Star Team
- Milano Rossoblu Scoring Leader (31 Goals, 34 Assists, 65 Points)
- NCAA (Hockey East) All Rookie Team 2008-2009
